Two completely unrelated stories that should not worry us at all:
Apparently a few years ago Japanese researchers developed a fuel cell that runs on blood. . . [via Steve]
Then we have the UK researchers who’ve created a robot that eats “vermin” and powers itself by “digesting” the meat. [via Weird Universe]
No way this can turn out badly.

Thanks for the shout out. Yeah, a few years ago we were talking about “people powered devices,” but that was things like capturing kinetic energy like walking in shoes designed to generate a current from the force of your steps. Where it took the turn to “BRAINS!” I don’t know, but I’m not sure it was a happy discussion.
