   Holy crap…she never heard of prismatic light refraction? If I recall, they taught that in 3rd grade science. She sounds a great deal older (and more southern) than me, so unless she was busy sneaking out to smoke with her friends, she should have learned this. Maybe we can pacify her by telling her a flying horse with a multi-colored tail and mane peed in her towns drinking water supply, and ran off into the sky, carrying a little girl with a pouch of rainbow-colored crystals on her hip, and a shimmering star tattoo on her cheek, accompanied by a 2-foot-tall fluffy little white creature with antennae on it’s head.
